Welcome to Hospital Benchmark

Hospital managers are challenged by an economic trend to improve hospital performance. Hospital benchmark is a tool that will help to improve hospital performance through an organized process. Hospital benchmark analyzes productivity rates in hospitals within a certain area or of a certain size or type. This will help hospitals to gain detailed insight to their performance when compared to other hospitals, both in general as well as detailed by specialty analysis.

Hospital Benchmark was founded in 2005 and is a Joint Venture of four European consultancy firms. Hospital Benchmark strictly has no ties to any governmental departments or insurance companies.

Succesful participation of Hospital Benchmark at the VI Forum of teaching hospitals in Poznan and at the Forum STOMOZ in Spala, Poland (end of October)

Hospital Benchmark was present at two polish congresses in october:

  • VI Forum of teaching hospitals in Poznan on October 19, was organized by the University hospital “Przemienienia PANSKIEGO”. The focus of this congress was the Management of teaching hospitals. There were over 100 participants represented by hospital directors and health care politicians.
  • Forum STOMOZ in Spala on October 19-21, was organized by the hospital im. WL. BIEGANSKIEGO IN LODZ. The focus of this congress was the reorganization of polish hospitals. Main participants were directors of public hospitals from all over the country.

At both congresses we introduced our instrument and gave the participants the occasion to discover how it can be used to improve the efficiency of hospitals. The big interest of polish hospital directors in our instrument, “Hospital Benchmark”, shows that the benefit it brings reflects as well in Poland a real need.
